I have picked up certain sections from the book that might be useful for you girls ! Hope you will like it !

1) Skincare:
- Sunscreen (recommended with SPF > 30) prevents wrinkles, aging, and spots ! (Very important for Ladies in Singapore, given our weather, this is a Must must must ! )
- Best sunscreens contain ingredients like zinc or titanium dioxide. These provide your skin with stronger barrier of protection. They may take longer to blend but they work well when applied early and often.
^ When using high-SPF sunscreen, always apply after your makeup your moisturizer and let it soak in before applying your makeup.
^ If your high-SPF sunscreen leaves a noticeable white cast on your face, mix a little of foundation before application to create an even, natural look.
- Never ever sleep with your makeup on ! no matter how tired you are, always remove your makeup and apply moisturizer before going to bed.
- For dry skin, choose creamy cleansers and cream moisturizers. For oily skin, go for gel cleansers and oil free moisturizing lotions.
- ^ if you are stuck without your usual cleanup gear, clear lip gloss can be used as an eye makeup remover.
^ Exfoliate your face at least a few times a week. A good scrub eliminates dry flakes, sebum, oils and any other nasty things that keep your skin from being super smooth.
^ be gentle when exfoliating. Massage longer instead of scrubbing harder. Being rough only irritates the skin and cause redness.
^ plain white sugar is hands-down the best exfoliant around. In the shower, simply lather up your face and body with your regular cleanser then scrub about a handful of sugar over your skin, using circular motions. Rinse away the remaining crystals. You’ll be glowingly sweet.
^ avoid alcohol-based toners. They just strip your skin of its natural oils. If you like to tone, choose herbal toners like rosewater.

2) Body Basics:
·      MONEYSAVER
Create a custom body lotion. Buy a big, inexpensive jug of unscented lotion. Add a few drops of your favorite perfume. Shake it and slather it ! For extra gleam, pour a bit of liquid shimmer into your lotion potion.
^ Sunscreen goes wherever the sun touches your skin – not just your face. Think about your ears, tops of hands, and tops of feet during sandal season. Every exposed inch, every day !

^ enhance your cleavage by sweeping a bit bronzer in between your ta-tas, then apply a highlight shimmer on top of them.
^ if your feet gets dry and cracked, apply a thick salve of balm, like Vaseline; cover them with warm socks and head to bed.
^ your elbows, knees and ankles have almost no oil glands. Keep them hydrated and smooth with extra rich moisturizer or balm. Cocoa butter works beautifully as well.
^ apply your perfume before getting dressed. That way it sinks into your skin, not into your clothes.

3) Laying the Foundation: Skin Makeup
  ·      MONEYSAVER
Create your own tinted moisturizer by simply mixing foundation with an SPF-infused moisturizer and blending it in.
^ applying a luminizing face primer before foundation to even out your skin’s texture and create a perfectly smooth canvas for your makeup.
^ when shopping for your perfect foundation, choose three shades that closely match your skin. Apply all three next to each other along your jaw line. The one that best blends in to your skin is the perfect pick.
^ never use the inside of the wrist to test foundation shades. Always use the jaw line area and take the chest into consideration. Sometimes, your face and chest are of different shades.
^ when choosing foundation shades, always steer clear of really pink undertones. The slightest yellow undertone is more universally flattering.
^ some darker-skinned woman have varying skin tones around their faces. I like to choose the shade that falls in between these two shades and blend for a unifying effect. Or pick two shades of foundation and blend them on the appropriate areas for a balanced look.
^ oily-skinned gals should use spray or oil free liquid foundations. Cream or powder foundations are too heavy and masking for you.
^ to reduce oiliness, try applying matifying gels or serums before your foundation to control shine throughout the day.
^ dry and normal skinned ladies fare best with liquid foundations or tinted moisturizers.
·      quickie make-do foundation: mix a little moisturizer on the back of your hand with a smear of concealer and apply it over the skin with a non-latex sponge.
^ Fix any afternoon splotches: mix a little moisturizer and foundation, put just a touch on a non-latex sponge, and lightly buff the area until it looks even.
